We've been going to Families First for nearly 10 years. We've seen many providers and loved them all. I love that I can get in quickly when my kids are hurt or sick. No doubt they have the best pediatricians in the valley.
Malinda Biesinger (that’s Mandi to you) was born and raised in Utah and is so glad to be back home after six years in Los Angeles, California. Mandi attended Brigham Young University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work.
Her additional training includes play therapy, parenting and family support, emotional regulation, and attachment. She also has experience working in a wide variety of settings including private practice, intensive outpatient, residential, and hospital environments. And she has experience treating a wide range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment, OCD, mood disorders, social communication, parenting skills, adjustment, and life transitions, among others.
Importantly, Mandi recognizes that each individual’s experiences are unique and their treatment must reflect that. She has over a decade of experience working with children and families from diverse religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Mandi is also an LGBTQIA+ friendly provider.
When she’s not working to break down mental barriers wherever she finds them, Mandi loves tickling the ivories on her piano, baking, traveling, watching TV, and absolutely crushing her husband and kids at board games. She’s really doing them a favor, sometimes facing a hard challenge is the only way to get better.
