Group therapy is an excellent resource for kids and teens to role play, help their peers, and feel more connected in their mental health journey. Similarly, our free Baby Basics classes allow new parents to learn, ask questions, and feel a part of the parenting community. Group class registration is open to all, regardless of whether or not you are a patient.
In this 90-minute workshop, parents will learn skills to increase their joy and competence in raising children with ADHD. Parents will learn behavioral, emotional, and organizational techniques to support their child’s unique needs and strengths.
This group will focus on helping participants build resiliency and utilize skills to cope with difficult times. This group will focus on learning to manage our emotions using the four components of DBT: emotion regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
This series is for parents who have completed the supportive parenting for ADHD workshop, and desire more information. This is a three-series class that will cover three sections. Emotion Coaching, Building Skills and Independence, and Behavior Modification Strategies.
Parents can also schedule appointments with Valerie during regular business hours to troubleshoot behaviors and skills at home.
*Savannah’s therapy dog Birdie will be present during group meetings.
This group will focus on educating children about their emotions. Children will improve their emotional vocabulary and learn age-appropriate coping skills to help manage anger, anxiety, and sadness.
This (online) group is a virtual ongoing support and processing group for LGBTQ+ youth who want to connect with peers in their community in a therapeutically safe environment. Youth will have opportunities to process emotions and feelings with a group while gaining additional support from a licensed clinician.
In this 90-minute workshop parents will learn how anxiety works so that they can help manage their kids and their own. Learn what to say when anxiety shows up for you or your kids so you can avoid demanding, dismissive or over-protective pitfalls we can so easily fall into when we get overwhelmed.
