Johnathon calls most of the world his home. As a kid, his dad was in the military and they moved more than 30 times. When he got married, they needed to settle down somewhere and his wife was from here, so she came home and he came with her. His favorite thing about Utah is the gorgeous fall weather, even if it is far too brief.
Moving around so much meant that Johnathon didn’t have ready access to mental health services, and that’s something he knows he would have benefitted from. With the rising awareness surrounding anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges, particularly in young people, Johnathon wanted to give this generation of kids the support he could have used when he was their age.
Seeing a patient transition from struggling with their mental health to managing it, being empowered in their own healthcare, and thriving is what it’s all about. Connecting with a kid and helping them navigate a challenge, then seeing how those positive changes ripple through the entire family dynamic, that’s what Johnathon wants for his own kids, for your kids, and for every kid.
