Amanda Smith grew up in St. George, Utah. She received her bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern Utah University. She worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with dietetics at the St. George Regional Hospital; this is where Amanda fell in love with newborns and helping families. She started her lactation training in the hospital setting, working with inpatient postpartum moms and also started seeing patients in the outpatient setting. During this time, Amanda decided to go to nursing school to further her specialization and education in order to reach more patients. She moved to Northern Utah and attended Roseman University where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Amanda is an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and registered nurse. She loves helping parents find confidence and support in taking care of their family. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys being with her husband and son, skiing, playing tennis, and traveling.
