Home - Providers & Specialties - Pediatric Medical Care
Your child is growing and changing every day. Kids’ bodies and minds undergo constant growth, so they are far more complex than just smaller versions of adult bodies. They need specialized care and more frequent checkups to help them stay on track through their lightning-fast developmental journey.
Pediatricians receive an additional three years of medical training after becoming physicians. That specialized training helps us better serve your child, detect potential problems early on, and be your parental resource for questions and concerns.
But we’re more than a traditional pediatric practice. When you make Families First Pediatrics your child’s medical home, you can access integrated care with benefits like on-site mental health therapists, x-ray services, and lactation consultants. We know this cohesive approach to your child’s health results in a healthier child. You’ll soon discover that this integrated model is also a game-changing convenience for parents.
Same-day visits are almost always available for sick kids, and online booking makes it easy to plan those all-important well-checks.
We’re here to help at every stage: from diaper rashes and late-night worries to helping your teen thrive and transition into adulthood.
From rashes to fevers and everything in between, we’re here to help you through this exciting (and sometimes exhausting) phase of parenthood with empathy and evidence-based care.
Extra-special kids thrive when they have a consistent care team. As a physician-owned and directed practice, our provider turnover is lower than at “corporate” practices.
Teenagers may not have as many colds and ear infections, but their medical concerns are no less specialized. With access to oral and mental health on-site, we offer unmatched continuity of care.
For parents, launching a child into adulthood can feel almost as scary as bringing home a newborn. We’re here for their questions, your questions, and all those travel immunizations for that year abroad.

It isn’t just your child’s body that’s different from an adult’s. A child’s brain is still developing, but can also struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and more.
Not only do we offer in-house counseling resources, but we can also help manage and monitor your child’s medications more closely than when counseling and medical care happen separately.
Our Pediatric providers accept most commercial insurance plans, but please verify your child’s coverage with your insurance carrier.
You are responsible for knowing your plan’s benefits and coverage.
We recommend the well-child visit and vaccine schedule by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). You can see and print both here.
Very responsive. You can contact us through our Patient Portal or by phone, text, or chat. All clinical messages go to the same system for our licensed nurses to triage and respond to according to urgency. Our goal is to respond to all messages within 24 hours.
We’ll always schedule your child with their preferred pediatric provider for well-child check-up appointments. However, we schedule sick visits with the provider available soonest. We can usually offer same-day appointments for sick visits, but these may not be with your usual provider.
Families First Pediatrics stands firmly behind childhood immunizations, backed by strong scientific evidence confirming their safety and effectiveness. Vaccines have dramatically reduced once-common diseases, but declining rates can lead to a resurgence. Children with certain medical conditions or too young to be vaccinated are particularly vulnerable.
While we respect individual decision-making, opting out of vaccines may endanger these at-risk individuals in our community. As pediatric experts and parents, we follow the recommended schedule for our children and strongly recommend you do the same. Should you decline, another practice may better fit your needs, though we remain committed to caring for all families.
