Lori Jo is a transplant to our great state, having grown up further along the west coast, in Oregon. She came to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy. After graduating, she interned in the Utah State Hospital Children’s Unit, where she realized her passion for working with kids.
Lori Jo went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University, in 2001, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of clinical experience, working with kids and families. Lori Jo has a special interest in helping kids work through depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. She also has experience helping parents and kids work through adoption-related issues.
When she’s not at work, she’s probably spending time with her husband and three kids. At any given moment, it’s a good bet she’s cheering one of them from the sidelines of a football or soccer field, hiking one of Utah’s many trails, or heading into the wilderness to camp, ski, snowshoe, or paddle board.

I feel like I’m here on the weekly, but I don’t mind- I love this place! I love the separate entrances for well and sick kids and I love the mural rooms where my kids and I can spend time playing and search/find while we wait, instead of on a screen. And oh yeah- the drs are great too!
