As an avid hiker, one of Helen’s favorite things about living in Utah is having easy access to both the mountains and the desert. She also appreciates the state’s incredible restaurant scene. An outstanding cook herself, Helen’s known for making exceptional chicken soup, homemade pasta and meatballs, and chocolate chip cookies. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling the world, and planning her next adventure.
Helen is passionate about helping children, teens, and families navigate life’s challenges while building resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of self. She loves watching kids discover who they are and find their voice, whether through play, creativity, nature, or meaningful conversation.
Her clinical interests include supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals experiencing faith or life transitions, and those working through grief, anxiety, or depression. Helen is trained in Nature Informed Therapy (NIT). She incorporates a variety of approaches into her work, including ACT, DBT, IFS, EFT, attachment-based therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, expressive arts, and narrative therapy.
Helen loves the quote from the Secret Life of Walter Mitty, “To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.” She is inspired to help others feel seen, connected, and at home in the world.
