Monica Schwarz Josten, M.D.
Monica is from Sandy, Utah – the city where her mom and dad made their home after moving from Indonesia and Switzerland, respectively. Monica attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana where she studied biochemistry before moving back home to attend the University of Utah School of Medicine. She met her husband during medical school, they spent a few years living in the Bay Area of California after graduation. After completing her general pediatrics residency at Stanford she worked for Palo Alto Medical Foundation in outpatient pediatrics. Monica is one of those rare people who knew she wanted to be a pediatrician since she was a little kid. She loves that she gets to be the quarterback for families in providing comprehensive care and helping to connect patients to the resources they need to thrive during the crucial childhood and teenage years. Monica enjoys the full spectrum of general pediatrics, she also completed extra training in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona College of Medicine and is a licensed Suboxone provider. When Monica is not at work, she enjoys the outdoors with her husband and daughter – running, biking, skiing, or backpacking.
