Megan McDowell grew up in Salt Lake City, UT. She received both her Doctorate of Nursing Practice and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Utah. After obtaining her degree as a nurse practitioner, she joined the Comprehensive Care Program at Primary Children’s Medical Center where she managed a wide variety of complex, chronic medical conditions. She has also taught clinical physiology at the University of Utah College of Nursing. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). She enjoys caring for children of all ages at Families First Pediatrics. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients and watching them learn and grow. She spends her free time hiking, traveling, skiing, learning the flying trapeze, reading, and hanging out with her family and pets.
