We first started coming to this location when our 1st kid was born 3 years ago. We just had our 2nd. They have always been extremely helpful. Even when we had questions in the middle of the night as new parents they were also kind and helpful.
For Riley, working with children has always felt natural—perhaps because she’s been doing it since she was one herself. Growing up in Tahoe, her childhood was a blend of dust, snow, and endless adventure. Summers found her on horseback, guiding families through the scenic trails of the Tahoe National Forest. When winter rolled in, she traded her saddle for skis, coaching tiny athletes at Palisades Ski Resort. Bundled up alongside the “Mighty Mites,” she taught preschool skiers how to find their balance, respect the mountain, and—most importantly—enjoy the ride. Through those early experiences, she quickly learned that patience, encouragement, and a good sense of humor were just as essential as carving the perfect turn.
Her love of horses and academics took her to Texas on an equestrian scholarship, but she soon realized she missed the mountains. With family ties to the state, Riley jumped at the chance to move to Utah when a job opportunity arose at Primary Children’s. Nearly a decade later, she’s still happily practicing in the area.
A dedicated Swifty, Riley is also a Kansas City Chiefs fan by marriage. She can often be found reading, listening to an audiobook, or riding horses. Despite her love for the outdoors, she is perpetually cold—so don’t be surprised if she’s bundled up in a sweater at the office, even in the summer!
From the moment you meet Riley, you’ll notice her natural ability to put both kids and parents at ease. Her warm, down-to-earth approach makes office visits feel less intimidating, and she takes the time to connect—not just with her young patients but with the whole family. She believes great care comes from partnership, trust, and understanding, and she’s especially passionate about supporting children’s mental health and resilience.
