About Whitney:

Whitney Thorn has worked at Families First Pediatrics since 2007. She began working as a Medical Assistant while attending nursing school; she graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) in 2011. She chooses to work in pediatrics because she believes that children have a unique way of helping people see the positive, even in some of the worst situations. After having kids of her own, she quickly realized that breastfeeding does not come easily or naturally to everyone, and finding a lactation consultant outside of the hospital setting can be difficult. For the last four years at Families First, she has been helping breastfeeding moms and babies as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Helping create a positive experience with breastfeeding through educating and supporting moms has been very rewarding for her. When she is not at Families First, she is busy running her four kids to baseball, soccer, dance, tumbling, etc. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children at ballgames, as well as mountain biking, riding UTVs, and being outdoors.
