We absolutely LOVE families first!!! We have been going for 7 years and all the Dr's. Are amazing! They make you feel heard and cared about every time we go in! My kids love going to the Drs!!
Tyler was born and raised here in Utah and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southern Utah University. After graduating, he was accepted to Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling.
Before coming to Families First Pediatrics, Tyler spent 14 years working with kids in residential care. He specializes in working with kids with autism and teens struggling with substance abuse, trauma, strained family relationships, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. More importantly than all of that, he genuinely cares about your kids and about your family. He believes that success for the individual often relies on and extends to the family, and working together is the best way to make significant progress.
Tyler is a behavior specialist with training and certifications in Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-focused Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). When not at work, Tyler loves spending time with his wife and four children, golfing, reading and playing video games.
