We were in the Dental part of it. First time mom to having my little one have any kind surgery and the staff were kind and the Oral surgeon was amazing and the coolest. The anesthesiologist was amazing too and even carried my daughter to the room!!

Tyler grew up in West Virginia and spent time throughout Appalachia in Virginia and Pittsburgh before making his way to Utah. Drawn by the mountains and the residency program at Primary Children’s Hospital, he quickly fell in love with the people, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking.
Before becoming a pediatrician, Tyler researched lizards and snakes, which was the perfect preparation for pediatrics since both involve fast, squirmy little creatures, that sometimes stick out their tongues. He can’t whistle to save his life, but he’s determined to one day learn another language and pick up a musical instrument.
Tyler finds his greatest joy in getting to know families and helping them through both the joyful and challenging moments. He appreciates kids’ honesty, strength, and fun-loving spirits. He’s passionate about preventative medicine, evidence-based care, and population health, and he brings his background in research into every patient interaction.
Tyler’s interest in pediatrics was deeply shaped by a personal experience as a teenager, when his sister passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition. The way the doctor explained her condition in detail with empathy and kindness inspired him to dedicate his career to caring for children with the same compassion.
