We love Families First! Each provider we have seen over the years always listens and takes time to care for our children. We are self pay, and we are never surprised with bills and they generous in offering self pay discounts. Highly recommend!
Whether it’s cheering for the Cougars or spending time with family and friends, Shaunell values the strong community spirit here in Utah. Born and raised in Utah, she loves the mountains, the changing seasons, and being close to family. These connections to community and nature also shape the way she approaches her work.
Shaunell especially enjoys working with children and teens, helping them understand their emotions, building healthy coping skills, and developing the confidence and resilience they need to navigate life’s challenges. Shaunell has training and experience in Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and crisis intervention. She’s most passionate about play therapy and believes that children grow and heal best when they feel safe, supported, and free to explore. Just as time in nature encourages curiosity and discovery, play therapy allows children to express themselves, process emotions, and build confidence in ways that feel natural to them.
Outside of work, you’ll often find Shaunell enjoying a slice of pizza or chocolate in one form or another. She also loves spending time at the beach whenever she gets the chance, soaking in the sun and enjoying the sound of the waves.
