Mark was born and raised in Wisconsin (Go Packers! Go Badgers!) and came to Utah for his residency in 1994. Like many before and since, once he got here he didn’t want to leave. Almost thirty years later, he’s still here.
Growing up in Wisconsin, his mother was a first grade teacher, so even as he got older there were always young kids around. In the summers, he would take jobs working with kids or coaching youth sports. When it came time for medical school, continuing his work with kids was an easy choice and pediatrics a natural fit.
With six kids of his own and, recently, his first grandbaby, there’s no stage of life Mark hasn’t seen at least once before. A lifetime of experience around kids of all ages allows Mark to relate to babies just as well as teens, and every age in between. If he’s not golfing or traveling the world, you’ll find him in the office. Just look for the 1977 VW bus in the parking lot and you’ll find him.
