We've been going to Families First for nearly 10 years. We've seen many providers and loved them all. I love that I can get in quickly when my kids are hurt or sick. No doubt they have the best pediatricians in the valley.
Kirstin attended Utah State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Social Work, before earning a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah only a year later. More than a quick study and a hard worker, Kirstin also enjoys Utah’s natural landscapes—especially the sunsets, the mountains, the impressive collection of natural parks, and the world famous ski and snowboard season.
Kirstin is trained and experienced in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy, and family therapy. She has a special passion for working with kids and young adults and helping them navigate a turbulent time of life. Kirstin’s goal is to help patients identify what they are able to control in their environment and then provide tools they can use in their everyday lives. Her favorite part of the job is when clients no longer need her.
When she’s not at work, you might find Kirstin elbow deep in clay at the pottery wheel, practicing Spanish conjugation, enjoying spicy Cajun chicken pasta, or doing little things to improve her life and the lives of people around her.
“Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” – Mother Teresa.
