Originally from Vermont, Kathleen moved to Utah over a decade ago to pursue her education, earning degrees in both sociology and social work at Brigham Young University. She thrives in Utah’s dry, hot summer weather, where she loves being in nature, with hiking, camping, and kayaking at the top of her list. Kathleen’s a foodie who loves trying new restaurants, finds zen in yoga, and can’t resist a good crime TV show. An adventurer at heart, she wants to visit every national park and become yoga certified.
As a licensed clinical social worker, Kathleen has experience working in residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. She specializes in working with teens ages 13-18 who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and emotional dysregulation. Her modalities include CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and EMDR.
Embracing a holistic perspective to healing, Kathleen stays engaged in learning how mental, physical, and spiritual well-being are connected and incorporates this principle into her daily life. Kathleen’s favorite part about social work is guiding people to see their unique strengths and capabilities.
