Ivy Welch, FNP-C

About Ivy:

Ivy met her husband in Ohio (go Buckeyes!) and returned to Utah to attend college. She loves being here in Utah, where her family is close by and where she can enjoy the outdoors.

Ivy and her family, along with their Golden Retriever, Gumbo, enjoy daily walks to the park and are big fans of shows like Survivor and The Amazing Race, which they love to watch together. While Ivy excels at craft projects and is especially fond of cross-stitch or crochet, her badminton and pickleball skills often leave the ball on the wrong side of the net.

As a mom, Ivy finds that her daughter has made her more empathetic and better at connecting with young kids. Her daughter’s love for princesses, Paw Patrol, and Blippi help her relate to her young patient even more. As a healthcare provider, Ivy was drawn to pediatrics because children are brave, resilient, and always trying their best. Ivy is passionate about safety and injury prevention education, having seen many preventable injuries in the PICU. She loves working with kids aged 2-4 and finds they’re at such a fun and curious stage where they are finding their voices and personalities while still thinking adults are cool. She has a special place in her heart for first-time parents, enjoys building relationships with her parents and patients, and loves seeing her patient’s growth over time.

Parent Feedback

I wish everyone could have a doctor like my kids have at families first. We have been coming here for around 10 years, and they are amazing. They genuinely care about my kids. Their primary doctors are Sheri Bangerter and Brady Watkins, so those two are my favorites, but we’ve seen many others for sick or urgent visits and they’ve all been great. The front desk staff and all the nurses are amazing, too. They respond quickly to texts and there’s an after hours nurse that you can call for urgent but non emergency issues. They’ve all been so helpful and caring. The doctors have been very thorough with their care, listen to our concerns and give us options to choose from. I’ve never felt so respected and well cared for in any medical environment. The rooms are amazing, too, with murals on every patient room wall. My kids love coming here.
