We were in the Dental part of it. First time mom to having my little one have any kind surgery and the staff were kind and the Oral surgeon was amazing and the coolest. The anesthesiologist was amazing too and even carried my daughter to the room!!
One of Ashley’s favorite things about living in Utah is the small-town feel that can be found across the state. She’s a lifelong learner who spends a lot of personal time reading, especially about mental health and therapeutic techniques (it’s her job and her passion!). She can often be found relaxing with her dogs with a plate of nachos in one hand and an iced mocha in the other.
As a mental health professional, Ashley finds fulfillment in supporting youth during some of the most challenging times in their lives. She is passionate about working with youth who are experiencing behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, ADHD, or the effects of trauma. One of her favorite quotes is from Audrey Hepburn, “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow,” a reminder of the power of growth, resilience, and hope.
Ashley is trained in a variety of approaches, including solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). She also incorporates aspects of play therapy into her sessions to help kids engage in natural ways. The most rewarding part of her job is helping children and adolescents recognize the strengths and resources they already possess to navigate life’s challenges.
