Sheri Vlam was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Sheri is a Canuck at heart but loves Utah. She received her master’s degree in Nursing in 2004 with an emphasis in Pediatrics. Sheri is board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has a broad range of pediatric experience including becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant.
Sheri completed her thesis with a focus on diagnostic practices of ADHD and later went on to publish her findings in the Pediatric Nursing Journal (PNJ). Sheri has a passion for pediatric care and has special interests including newborn care. Sheri will take the time to listen to parent concerns. She values parents opinions and enjoys discussing the care of their newborns. She takes great enjoyment in being able to watch her patients grow from infancy to young adults. She credits her many wrinkles to constantly smiling and laughing at how honest and adorable children are. Sheri understands being a parent can be extremely rewarding, but she also is aware that it can be quite stressful at times. She will always take the time to listen to parents’ concerns and will try to help alleviate any stress or worry a parent may have.
She is kept very busy with her three active boys whom she likes to go geocaching and hiking with.
