About Lori Jo Leonard
Lori Jo Leonard is a native Oregonian. She graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy. She found her passion for working with kids while interning at the Utah State Hospital Children’s Unit. Lori Jo went on to attend graduate school at Boise State University, earning a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2001. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of clinical experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Lori Jo has spent the majority of her career in the mental health field, working with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. She is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained and is a Certified Clinical Child and Adolescent Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP-CA). Lori Jo has experience and expertise in parenting and adoption-related issues.
Lori Jo is married and the imperfect parent to three pretty great kids. When not at work, she can most often be found on the sidelines of some football or soccer field cheering her kids on. In her free time, she loves getting into the mountains of Utah to hike, camp, ski, snowshoe, and paddle board.
