Baby Basics & Breastfeeding Class for West Jordan Parents

Free Baby Basics & Breastfeeding Class for New Parents in West Jordan, Utah

When you’re expecting a baby, advice comes from everywhere—and not all of it is good. Our Baby Basics & Breastfeeding class gives you something better: two hours with a Families First pediatrician, a registered nurse, and a certified lactation specialist who will actually answer your questions.

You’ll leave knowing what to expect in the first weeks at home, how to handle common breastfeeding challenges, what pregnancy and newborn complications to watch for, and how to navigate your baby’s first well-child visits. It’s the kind of preparation that used to require asking every family member you have — now it’s free, it’s local, and it’s taught by the team that will be caring for your child.

Our West Jordan class is held at our West Jordan clinic, serving families throughout West Jordan, South Jordan, and the surrounding communities. West Jordan is one of the fastest-growing cities in the Salt Lake Valley, and Families First is here to grow with it—bringing the same expert pediatric team to the families building their lives here.

Is this class only for first-time parents?

Not at all. While first-time parents tend to get the most out of it, the class is equally valuable for second-time parents—especially those with a gap between children, a new breastfeeding experience, or circumstances that differ from a previous pregnancy.
