About Dr. Ormond
Dallen Ormond grew up in the St George, Utah area. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Nursing from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 1999, he graduated from Brigham Young University with a Masters of Science, completing the Family Nurse Practitioner program. Dallen received a PhD from Oregon Health and Science University in pediatric nursing with an emphasis in childhood obesity. He is currently an MBA student at Brigham Young University and is scheduled to graduate spring 2021. He has a broad range of experience in pediatric medicine, as well as orthopedics and sports medicine. As a nurse Dallen was a member of the cardiothoracic and trauma surgery teams at the University of Utah. He spent two years working with the Department of Cardiology at Primary Children’s Medical Center as a Nurse Practitioner caring for critically ill children. He has been with Families First Pediatrics since co-founding it in 2001. Dallen is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. He is married with 4 children. He enjoys reading, fitness, and he has a passion for fast cars.
